The Church of the Nazarene brings together people who have made Jesus Christ the Lord of their lives, sharing in Christian fellowship, and seeking to strengthen each other in faith development through worship, fellowship, preaching, training, and service to others in love. We strive to express the compassion of Jesus Christ to all persons along with our personal commitment to Christlike living.
The Church of the Nazarene has been intentionally multi-cultural from its birth in 1908 and now has a global presence in 162 different nations and world areas. Introduced to Australia in 1945, the Church of the Nazarene has churches in most states, with ministry to Australians of diverse backgrounds, including our First Australians, and Australians of all generations whose ancestry is from all continents. Some of our churches have worship services in various languages including English, Greek, Samoan, Korean, Chinese, Sudanese, and Swahili.
