Place of Peace Church of the Nazarene

-

We, the Place of Peace Church of the Nazarene, are a place of peace and a space of grace. Our mission is to embrace and empower all people with hope, worth, and peace. We are committed to participating with God in God’s Kingdom mission as a compassionate community of Jesus-followers who are surrendered to the journey of being and becoming Christ-centred, Love-filled and Life-transforming people of Grace and Peace through the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit.

We seek to be God’s Church, which is created and called by God for the purpose of revealing God’s Kingdom in, with and for our community. We live and love to embrace our neighbours through their hurts, equip them in their hungers and empower them toward their hopes. We believe that God’s Kingdom is at hand in, through and around us if we willingly offer ourselves and our resources to participate with God in creating spaces of grace in which ALL people are invited to be loved and transformed together on the journey with Jesus.

God loves all people and we do too. 🙂 Come help us love our Inala community and beyond!

Vision Statement of Place of Peace Church of the Nazarene

Sharing Hope, Showing Worth, Shaping Peace

We, the church, envision God’s Shalom (Peace) manifested throughout the world. God’s Peace is revealed and experienced in shame-free communities of transformational relationships. Peace is revealed in relationships in which people are free to love and be loved without fear. Peace is experienced in relationships which are safe for trust, vulnerability, compassion, and mercy. Peace is experienced in relationships in which people know and feel their worth, beauty, and potential. Peace is revealed in relationships in which all people are helped and honoured. Peace is experienced in relationships in which all people survive and thrive.

We, the church, envision a world in which all people realise that Peace is revealed and experienced within intimate and sacrificial relationships of love and grace with God, one another, and all of creation. These relationships are modelled in the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ and empowered by the active presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. God makes humanity and all of creation new through transformational relationships of love and grace that bring Peace to life.

We, the church, envision our purpose as participating with God in God’s Kingdom mission of Peace through the renewing work of transformational relationships with God, each other and creation in our community and beyond. Relationships that offer all people an opportunity to experience a life of Hope, Worth and Peace fulfilled by God’s Love as they intentionally follow Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

We, the church, are created and called to love people with God’s Holy Love, trusting that as we do, the Holy Spirit is embracing and empowering us, and the people we love, to become a new creation on our journey with Jesus, Who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
